Do not leave the city of Athens without visit as many local attractions as you can and get to know the Greek way of living at Plaka and Psirri area! Not to mention Acropolis and Sounion.
What’s new in Athens:

- The new coastal promenade, with a high raised pedestrian area 50m wide, facilitated by the new tram network.

Don’t go home without:
Typical Greek gifts include of course ouzo (local spirit), hand woven rugs, virgin olive oil, honey as well as jewels locally crafted and reproductions of Museums pieces.
Tips:
- Greeks are always ready to help tourists. Do not hesitate to consult them at any time.
- Of course Greeks go to bed really late at nights so their standard is to start dinner after 9pm.
- Useful words: ‘NE’ meaning yes, ‘OHI’ meaning no and ‘Efharisto poli’ meaning thank you very much.
- Never wave with your all your five fingers stretched pointing to someone or show all of them wide open to someone to indicate the number 5. It is considered a very offensive sign in Greek body language and means bad luck for the person who sees it!
